Apple CarPlay, an all-new feature that enables on-the-road iPhone access, will be available on 2015 Sonatas equipped with the latest installment of Hyundai's Audio Video Navigation (AVN) system. The new feature will make it easier and safer for you to use your iPhone in the car, as many of its functions can be controlled hands and eyes free with Siri. Navigation of the system can also be managed through Sonata's vivid eight-inch touchscreen, which will offer an instantly familiar view for iPhone users.

With CarPlay, Hyundai Sonata owners can check voicemails and emails, text, make/receive calls and connect to Apple Maps from their iPhones while on the road. Accessing audio features, like Spotify, podcasts, audio books and music, is another notable perk. Currently, the system is compatible with iPhone 5C, 5S and 5 models that run the latest version of iOS 7, and phones must be hooked up to the interface via a lighting connector.

Apple's foray into the automotive business is big news for millions of smartphone users across the country and, for those interested in the upcoming Sonata, the company's new technology adds to an already appealing package. The 2015 Sonata will show off a complete redesign, highlights of which include new styling, a quieter cabin, enhanced ride quality and updated features. The sedan is scheduled to arrive at Van Hyundai this summer.
