Hyundai Motor America is having a quite a good summer. Not only were they recently recognized as the #1 non-premium brand in J.D. Power's APEAL and IQS reports, but now they've posted their July earnings and they are the best ever for the month.
Sales were up 1.5 percent over the same time last year with over 67,000 units sold. Top sellers continue to be the Sonata, which sold over 22,500 units, up 19 percent and the Santa Fe whose sales were up 26 percent with over 8,600 units sold.
Hyundai's premium models, the 2015 Genesis (the 2014 Genesis was the Midsize Premium Car IQS winner) and Equus, both saw sales growth for the month, up 5 percent and 76 percent, respectively.
"As the summer weather heated up across the country, so did the selling season," said Bob Pradzinski, vice president of national sales, Hyundai Motor America. "With 2015 models beginning to hit showrooms, incentive spend up across major brands and competitive financing available, it's a buyers' market that many shoppers took advantage of."
It's terrific news to see that more people are out there buying cars as the economy slowly, but surely returns to pre-recession stability. And consumers are clearly looking for the quality and style that Hyundai has to offer. And with all the new technology and style enhancements Hyundai has coming in their new 2015 lineup, we don't see this trend slowing down anytime soon.
