Carrollton is competing in PetSafe's national "Bark for Your Park" campaign! The city with the most votes will receive $100,000 for a new dog park, while four runners up have a chance to win $25,000 each! If you're a pet lover, vote now and spread the word about this unique competition.

Currently, Carrollton is one of the top 15 finalists vying for top prize, but even if we don't take home the $100K, we have a chance to win a secondary prize in the Large City contest - we just need your votes! All you have to do is visit Carrollton's "Bark for Your Park" page and click Vote Now. You're allowed to vote twice a day, every day. Plus, after you cast your vote on Fridays, make sure you click the PetSafe Logo in the upper left corner of the page to get a Sniff Out Clue, which allows you to vote seven extra times and enters you to win a PetSafe Water Fountain for your furry friend!

WHY DO WE NEED A DOG PARK?
Dog parks provide a place where pets can get exercise and learn social skills, both of which help reduce issues with bad behavior - the second most common reason that owners give up their dogs. Many cities, unfortunately, do not have the funds to build dog parks and this is why PetSafe began holding annual "Bark for Your Park" contests.

If you would like to bring a new, much-needed dog park to our city, please participate and let your friends and family members know about the contest, too. Voting ends on July 25 and winners will be announced on Aug. 7, 2014.
