Carrollton Fireworks Show, Friday, July 4
This short 15-minute fireworks display is an annual tradition here in Carrollton. The show starts at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will light up the city sky for miles around, so it's typically visible from many neighborhoods surrounding Josey Ranch Park. There are also a few parking lots near the ranch from which fireworks lovers can grab a spot to watch the show.
Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration, Thursday, July 3
Farmers Branch offers one of the only low-level fireworks shows in north Texas, so visitors get to enjoy an up-close and personal experience that you can't get at an arena event. The spectacular lights are dazzling and the surrounding atmosphere is always fun and lively. There will be a great band, free kids' activities and concessionaires selling your favorite festival food! The event is free to enter and takes place at Farmers Branch Historical Park.
The Lake Cities 4th of July, Friday, July 4
Lights, carnival rides, fun contests, a parade, free horse rides, a kids' zone, barbeque, snow cones, live music and more are all packed into a full day of excitement at the annual Lake Cities 4th of July celebration. The party is hosted by Lake Dallas, Hickory Creek, Corinth and Shady Shores, and the day-long affair starts at 9 a.m. and finishes with a stunning fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.
Red, White & Lewisville Fireworks, Friday, July 4
Lewisville's annual fireworks show is always a treat. Visitors can claim a spot anywhere between State Highway 121 and the south side of Vista Ridge Mall for the best view of this illuminating light display, which will begin at about 9:30 p.m.
Spirit of Coppell Patriotic Parade & Evening Celebration, Thursday, July 3
Put on your red, white and blue décor and go cheer on the Coppell, TX parade! Kicking off at 9 a.m., the parade's legion of colorful, patriotic floats will make its way from the corner of Samuel Boulevard and Parkway Boulevard down to the Town Center Plaza. Later in the evening, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be an event featuring several family friendly activities, including train rides, face painting, bounce houses, live music, food and a stellar fireworks show at the end of the night.
Addison Kaboom Town! 2014, Thursday, July 3
From 5 p.m. to midnight in Addison, TX, there will be a huge party that's free to attend. Addison Kaboom Town! puts on one of the top five fireworks shows in the nation according to the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and several other publications. In addition to the fantastic 30-minute light show, there are also prizes, games, food, live music on the Dos Equis Stage and an incredible air show featuring the Cavanaugh Flight Museum Warbird Flyover.
