We've always believed in supporting our local community and especially love helping organizations that instill valuable principles in our youth. That's why we're proud to sponsor the D-BAT Mustangs, America's largest youth baseball organization. Since 1998, they've provided a high-level baseball program that has assisted many young players with pursuing their athletic goals.
D-BAT members not only have a chance to become better athletes with the help of top-notch coaches; they also have great opportunities to get scholarships and sign with colleges all over the nation. As a matter of fact, the majority of players who graduate from the program receive Division I college baseball scholarships. For example, local D-BAT's player Drew Dowdy was signed with the University of Texas at Arlington last year, which is only one of many success stories.
Baseball is not just about athleticism. It's also about determination, hard work and passion, qualities that Van Hyundai values and qualities that we see in the D-BATs. Over the years, we've proudly sponsored their team in Carrollton, TX and the money has helped increase scholarship opportunities and offset the rising costs associated with the sport. In the coming years, we look forward to continuing our partnership with the team and hope to see even more of our local D-BATs achieve their dreams of playing college and major league baseball.
