Interbrand, the internationally-recognized brand consulting group, has just released their yearly study on the most valuable brands in the world, and this year they have named Hyundai the fastest growing automotive brand in the world.

Now in its 15th year, Interbrand's study looks at several different factors in a company's performance, including global brand awareness, fiscal viability and product portfolio.

One of the many reasons cited for Hyundai's unbelievable growth were the automaker's "high-value" cars that offer the best safety and technology features for an affordable price. High tech and green innovations were also shown as being major reasons why Hyundai's brand is more valuable than ever.

"Hyundai is one of the fastest growing automotive brands, in terms of both volume and brand value. At the heart of Hyundai's growth is its strategy to differentiate and increase relevance by creating customized products," Interbrand said in a statement. "Hyundai's unique convenience features, from heated steering wheels and blind spot detection to lane departure warnings and smart cruise control, are now available across a broader range of vehicles to enhance the driving experience and customer satisfaction."

Also, the study called attention to the automaker's partnerships with events like the World Rally Championships and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which they said shows Hyundai's commitment to increasing their global recognition. According to Interbrand, all of these things add up to a truly special brand philosophy that has kept Hyundai at the top, which is their belief that a brand is not just about selling, but about building relationships with the very people that matter most: the customers.
