The all-new 2016 Hyundai Tucson has received yet another honor. This time it’s as a finalist for the 2016 Green SUV of the year, an annual award given out by the prestigious Green Car Journal.

Green Car Journal recognizes the most fuel-efficient SUV/crossover vehicles with this award, looking at several factors including fuel economy, advanced drivetrain technologies, weight reduction and use of clean or alternative fuels. The Journal also considers how these vehicles have maintained performance, combining efficiency, agility and functionality.

"The Hyundai Tucson shows that new-generation crossovers can offer desired performance and loads of versatility while still delivering impressive fuel economy," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal. "Crossover drivers tend to want it all – style, functionality, advanced features, and efficiency – and there's no lack of that in the new Tucson.”

The 2016 Tucson has been fully redesigned for the newest model year, boasting an all-new 1.6-liter, direct-injected, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is mated to a seven-speed EcoShfit dual-clutch transmission.

Drivers will also find a newly restyled interior and a new "Fluidic Sculpture 2.0"-designed exterior on the crossover, features that are sure to cement its place as a leading SUV in Carrollton for yet another year. Stop by Van Hyundai today and take the 2016 Hyundai Tucson for a test drive!
