Van Hyundai is excited to announce that the D-BAT Gallegos youth baseball team has won the Connie Mack World Series. The Connie Mack World Series is the top amateur baseball tournament in the U.S. Our national champs are a Dallas-based team made up of young baseball players aged 17 and under.
Van Hyundai is a proud sponsor of the D-BAT Gallegos, with donated funds going to local youth baseball players to help them financially as they play for the team. As a show of thanks, the players presented our managing partner, Richard Lipsey, with the championship ring. We are very proud of our boys in blue who worked so hard to become national champions.
The Gallegos were the youngest team to participate in the Connie Mack World Series. They went up against the undefeated Midland Redskins, who had previously won the series 13 times. They defeated the Redskins 7-5 in the final game, giving the Gallegos the national title.
"It's a team of destiny," said a team member. "We came along and just played baseball. It's awesome."
