The Carrollton Wind Symphony has announced the beginning of their spring season. Beginning on Friday, March 27, 2015, the Carrollton Wind Symphony will be performing some of their favorite features – including Rhapsodic Celebration by Robert Sheldon and The Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre – at Creekview High School in Carrollton.

Founded in 1995, the Carrollton Wind Symphony is made up of several local musicians, including everyone from school band directors to professional musicians. The Symphony is led by Carrollton’s own Jim McDaniel and Jim Moen. Their upcoming spring concert is the first of four performances this year – you can see them next in Plano, followed by a concert in San Antonio.

“We’re one a musical group, but even more than that, we’re a service organization to promote Carrollton and the love of music we all have,” McDaniel said.

As one of the most popular community concert bands in Carrollton, the CWS’s spring concert is a perfect opportunity to hear your favorite pieces, played by some of Carrollton’s best musicians. The CWS is sponsored by the city of Carrollton and as such all concerts are free to the public.
