Van Hyundai is happy to announce that the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe has been named the “Full-Size Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas” by the Texas Auto Writers Association. This is a huge honor for the Santa Fe that recognizes the crossover as one of the leading vehicles in its class.

“We are delighted to hear that the Texas Auto Writers Association recognized the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe as the top contender in a highly competitive category,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Corporate and Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “This is a tremendous honor that further confirms Hyundai’s commitment to quality, durability, safety and comfort in this important product category.”

This is not the first time that the Santa Fe has been honored as the CUV of Texas. It was first honored in 2013, while its small cousin the Santa Fe Sport was honored in the Compact CUV segment in 2012. More than 70 TAWA jurors evaluated the automotive industry’s top tucks, crossovers and SUVs to see which vehicles outdid their competitors. They looked at how the cars drove over various roadways, as well as the cars' comfort, safety and fuel economy.

For the 2016 model year, the Santa Fe offers a host of fantastic features, including a 3.3-liter Lambda II V6 engine, an updated suspension and power steering system, LED headlights accents, cruise control, Bluetooth and a driver’s blind spot mirror.

The 2016 Santa Fe is now in Carrollton. Stop by Van Hyundai today and see why this award-winning car is the top crossover in Texas!
