Hyundai’s new Sonata Hybrid Limited is turning heads in a big way. It has been named a winner in Good Housekeeping/Car and Driver's inaugural 2016 Best New Car Awards.
“The Sonata Hybrid not only offers buyers great value at the pump, it’s also packed with technology and convenience features like blind spot detection, lane-departure and forward collision warnings. The Sonata had the best gas mileage, delivering an incredibly quiet and relaxing ride in our tests,” Jane Francisco, Editor in Chief of Good Housekeeping said.

Winning this award is no easy task either, in fact, the competition is fierce. Good Housekeeping teamed up with Car and Driver to screen a preliminary list of 160 cars down to 40. Engineers then looked at aspects, like design, performance, usability and other attributes to make a determination on the quality of these features in each car.
“Most hybrids in the mid-size segment lack a sense of connection between the car and driver. The Sonata Hybrid was designed and engineered to offer fuel efficiency, without sacrificing the joys of driving. Receiving this award from both top men’s and women’s publications shows the car’s unmatched ability to exceed the needs of customers from different lifestyles,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president of product and corporate buying, Hyundai Motor America.
