There’s nothing quite like enjoying a movie under the stars with your family, and on Saturday, May 20, 2017, you’ll have the chance to do just that. Downtown Carrollton’s Movies on the Square series will be presenting one of the most popular kid’s films to come out in the last year, “The Secret Life of Pets.”
A completely free event, this edition of Movies on the Square will be held at 1106 S. Broadway St. All Carrollton residents are welcome to enjoy the movie, including your four-legged furry friends, so don’t hesitate to bring your friendly dog along. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are also encouraged to ensure a comfortable experience. The film begins at sunset, so be sure to arrive on time to find the perfect spot for you and your friends.
Rated PG, “The Secret Life of Pets” tells the story of a terrier named Max and his newly adopted canine brother Duke. While out on a walk, the duo get into a skirmish with a group of cats and wind up in a truck on the way to the pound. Thankfully for them, they end up getting a little help from a bunny named Snowball who takes them under her wing. However, there is a price to pay for his assistance. Max and Duke have to join his gang of abandoned pets, who are on a mission to get revenge on the humans that have done them wrong.
