Hyundai Tire Mobility

The Hyundai Tire Mobility Kit serves as an alternative to the spare tire that has traditionally been included with most vehicles. It consists of an air compressor and a sealant bottle, both of which you can use to get your Hyundai vehicle moving again if you have a flat tire. You will still need to replace or repair your tire as soon as possible, but you won't have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road if you only have three functional tires.

To use the Tire Mobility Kit, first, move your car to the side of the road away from traffic and set your parking brake. Leave your vehicle running if you are outdoors so the compressor doesn't drain your battery. There is also no need to remove any debris that may have punctured your tire and caused the flat.

Before you begin, shake the sealant bottle and attach it to your flat tire using the connect filling hose. Connect the bottle to the air compressor, making sure that the compressor is switched off. Plug the compressor into the vehicle power outlet (the outlet that was where the cigarette lighter once went in a car) and switch it on. Let it run for about three minutes to inflate the tire and spread the sealant to the damaged section of the tire. Never leave the compressor on for longer than ten minutes or leave it unattended, and never use the Tire Mobility Kit if the temperature outside is -22 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.

Once the tire is inflated and the sealant is in place, immediately drive your car approximately two miles to evenly distribute the sealant throughout the tire. Keep your speed above 12 miles per hour whenever possible, but do not drive faster than 50 miles per hour.

Since the Tire Mobility Kit is meant to be a quick fix and not a permanent solution to a damaged tire, bring your vehicle to Van Hyundai as soon as possible to replace your damaged tire.
