Hyundai Captures 1-2 Finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120

Hyundai recently took home a major win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120, achieving a first and second-place finish. This marked the first victory of the season for both drivers, and Hyundai was able to raise money for charity at the same time.

By winning the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120, Hyundai increased its lead in the 2024 IMSA Michelin Pilot Championship (IMPC) Manufacturers' Championship. Mason Filippi and Mark Wilkins led the way in the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR. It was their first victory, while Hyundai notched its third win of the season. The No. 33 car, driven by Robert Wickens and Harry Gottsacker, finished close behind in second place.

Hyundai also achieved a milestone at the event by introducing an innovative hand-control driving system used by paraplegic driver Robert Wilkins. This new technology offers better braking consistency, quicker responses, and enhanced safety features, giving Wilkins greater control over the vehicle.

Hope on Wheels Initiative

Hyundai's success at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 went beyond the track. For each lap that the Hyundai Elantra N TCR led throughout the season, Hyundai pledged to donate $100 to the charity 'Hope on Wheels.' At Indianapolis, their vehicles led for 67 laps, raising $6,700 for the cause.
