The worldwide hydrogen energy shift is well underway, and Hyundai is proud to emerge as a pioneer in this transformative era. Tailored for North American customers, the XCIENT FC showcases advanced driver assistance systems and a suite of hydrogen technologies designed for superior performance and innovation.

From April 28 through May 1, 2025, the ACT Expo provided the perfect stage for Hyundai to reaffirm its leadership in hydrogen energy. However, Hyundai's aspirations go beyond maintaining a presence; it seeks to guide the industry forward. Ken Ramirez elaborated on the company's ambitious plans for the XCIENT FC and its hydrogen initiatives.

"At Hyundai Motor, we are redefining the future of clean logistics with innovative solutions that prioritize safety, efficiency, and sustainability," Ramirez says, "By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems features and forging strategic partnerships to enhance operations and infrastructure, we are empowering our fleet partners to navigate a rapidly changing landscape and lead the transition to a smarter and more sustainable future."

While Hyundai's vision was compelling, the genuine excitement arrived with the reveal of their achievement: the Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell truck. As the production model headliner at the 2025 EXPO, it stands as the "world's first mass-produced hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck, advancing zero-tailpipe emission commercial transportation." Though already available overseas, the North American version debuts with fresh upgrades to meet local demands.

This market-specific iteration boasts an enhanced fuel cell configuration and up to 2,237 NM of torque, delivering a projected 450-mile range under optimal conditions. The cabin has also been refined, featuring a pair of 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment, with tactile buttons for ease of use.

Commercial drivers ready to embrace fuel cell efficiency should consider the XCIENT Fuel Cell truck.
