Hyundai Hope on Wheels Celebrates Largest Year Yet at 27th Anniversary Gala

Cancer can strike at any age, but it's particularly tragic when it affects a child. Although many forms of cancer can now be treated, some remain difficult to cure. Hyundai's Hope on Wheels campaign was created to fund research that raises the chances of survival.

What Has Hyundai Done So Far?

In 2025, Hope on Wheels celebrated its 27th year, and Hyundai committed $27 million to the cause. The pledge was made at a Washington, D.C., gala attended by executives, researchers, and critical stakeholders. The charity has donated $27 million to hospitals and research institutions to support their efforts.

The Program Is Expanding

Hope on Wheels recently focused exclusively on children in the United States. In early 2025, the initiative expanded into Canada, and expansion into Mexico is planned. This broader reach will provide doctors, patients, and families in those countries with crucial resources to combat childhood cancer.

The Program Has Yielded Positive Results

Because of efforts like Hope on Wheels, childhood cancer survival rates have improved from 75% to 85%. The long-term goal is for all children to survive and flourish after treatment. Research is vital in uncovering cancer causes and creating more effective, personalized treatments.
