What's New on the 2017 Accent?

This year, the Hyundai Accent lineup gains a new family member dubbed the Value Edition. The new trim includes rear disc brakes, steering-wheel audio and cruise controls, Bluetooth phone and 16-inch machine-finish alloy wheels, on top of other desirable features. Accent Features & Trim Grades

Those shopping for a 2017 Hyundai Accent in the Dallas area can choose between the SE sedan and hatchback, the new Value Edition sedan or the top-tier Accent Sport hatchback. All trims feature standard appointments like power windows and locks, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, USB and auxiliary jacks, and a six-speaker sound system with radio, SiriusXM, CD and MP3 capability. Above the SE models, Bluetooth phone is added to the standard features list, along with the Sport's upgraded upholstery and leather-wrapped steering, among other features.

Hyundai Accent Horsepower & MPG

Test drive a 2017 Hyundai Accent in Carrollton to experience superior fuel efficiency. The Accent is outfitted with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that creates 137 horsepower and 123 lb.-ft. of torque. Depending on the selected model, it can be paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, both of which send power to a front-wheel-drive system. With the manual, Accent returns an EPA-estimated 27 city/37 highway mpg rating, and models with the automatic don't disappoint either with 26/36 mpg.

Safety Features & Options

Standard safety features include but are not limited to stability and traction control, driver and front passenger advanced airbags, driver and front passenger seat-mounted side-impact airbags, front and rear crumple zones, front seatbelt pretensions and LATCH. Braking is just as important as accelerating, so Accent also comes standard with a four-wheel, four-channel antilock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist.
