The 2022 model year starts the fourth generation for the Hyundai Tucson. It also brings many changes to Tucson inside and out. The Hyundai Tucson gets a fully redesigned exterior for the latest model year and new interior styling. The Tucson adopts a clean, minimalist appearance for its interior with a frameless infotainment display screen ranging from eight to 10.25 inches.

The Tucson has a daring new exterior design to match its forward-thinking interior, complete with more angular and chiseled lines and curves than it had in the past. The Tucson's wheel arches now have a linear and squared design rather than the traditional rounded arches previously found on the Tucson and most other vehicles. The innovation continues with more than 60 interior ambient lighting options and multiple powertrains, including a hybrid and hybrid plug-in.

Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2022?

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson comes in eight trims, including hybrid and hybrid plug-ins. The first trim level is the SE. With this trim, you'll get a new touchscreen interface with an eight-inch display screen. A larger 10.25-inch infotainment display screen, standard on some trims and available on others, is an equally appealing feature. The base trim has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has a rear occupant alert as well.

The SEL adds a Blue Link connectivity system and push-button start. It also has smart cruise control. There are three drivetrains for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson, including gasoline and two hybrid powertrains. The gasoline engine carries over from the previous model year. It is a 2.5L four-cylinder with a power output of slightly less than 200 HP and a peak torque output of 185 LB-FT. The engine comes with an automatic transmission. The hybrid has a 1.6L engine with a power output of 226 HP and 258 LB-FT in torque. The plug-in hybrid generates 260 HP.
