The 2023 Santa Cruz is available in two different powertrain options. The standard setup is a 2.5L 4-cylinder, which churns out 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. The upgraded version is a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder that puts out 281 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. But the turbocharged engine has a dual-clutch version.
