The 2026 Hyundai Sonata arrives with few changes - it's still a sleek midsize sedan offering a spacious cabin, supportive seats, and a wide array of features. The lineup has been pared down: the previous SEL and SEL Convenience trims now form a single SEL Sport. Available all-wheel drive plus other performance-oriented options keep the Sonata in the running.
What Are the 2026 Sonata Trims & Features?
The 2026 Hyundai Sonata's gas lineup consists of three trims.The base trim is the SE. On the outside, it includes LED headlights and 16-inch wheels. Tech features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker stereo, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
The new SEL Sport steps up with larger wheel options (as big as 18 inches), a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a wireless charging pad for phones. It also provides more comfort features than the SE, like heated front seats, heated and power-folding side mirrors, dual-zone climate control, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The SEL Sport is the only gas trim available with optional all-wheel drive.
The N Line brings even larger 19-inch wheels, more aggressive exterior styling, bolstered front seats, trim-specific interior accents, and a premium audio upgrade.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Sonata Have?
All gas trims, except the N Line, use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers 191 horsepower. The N Line is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four that produces 290 horsepower.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Sonata Include?
The Sonata is fitted with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot intervention, and lane-keep assist.
