J.D. Power recently named the 2016 Hyundai Tucson as its most appealing small SUV in the 2016 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study. For more than two decades, the annual review has examined owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement across 77 characteristics, ranging from power and comfort to luxury and features.

“We are thrilled with the recognition of Tucson in this year’s J.D. Power APEAL study,” said Scott Margason, director, product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “The new Tucson looks great, has two fuel efficient engines and a roomy interior that satisfies a wide range of SUV buyers. The team did a great job launching the all-new Tucson this year.”

Judged on a 1,000-point scale, each vehicle is thoroughly examined during this study. In the end, the Tucson was able to outscore all of the other small SUVs. It did particularly well in the following categories: fuel economy, seats, HVAC, storage, exterior design, visibility, interior comfort and technology.

And this isn’t the first time that the 2016 Hyundai Tucson has achieved high marks from a top automotive outlet. Earlier this year, the vehicle was named Best Small Utility by MotorWeek. It was also recognized by both Edmunds.com and Parents magazine as a 10 Best Family Car.

The award-winning Hyundai is available in four trims: SE, Eco, Sport and Limited. Standard features include 17-inch alloys, automatic headlights, heated mirrors, privacy glass and a rear spoiler. It also boasts a six-speaker sound system, a USB port and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity.

For those who want state-of-the-art safety tech without having to pay extra, the Tucson is the way to go. It comes standard with antilock disc brakes, active front head restraints and numerous airbags.
