What's New For the 2020 Hyundai Sonata?
The 2020 model year marks the start of the eighth generation of the Hyundai Sonata. This year, the Sonata rolls off the production line with a fresh new look and an all-new design. Inside and out, it exudes luxury and glamour with a sleek, elegant exterior and a redesigned cabin made with your comfort and safety in mind. You'll find more room all around in the Sonata this year, which is wider, nearly two inches longer, and more spacious than the previous model year to give occupants more legroom and headroom.
A long list of technology tools and safety features are included in this year's Sonata, too. Even though the Sonata is a new addition to the lineup in 2020, it is already generating much excitement among critics and consumers alike. It is considered a top pick among midsize sedans this model year for its winning combination of style, safety, and technology. Best of all, the Sonata rolls all of these amenities and conveniences into one affordable package. No matter which Sonata trim you select, you'll find several delightful features plus some innovative amenities, including first-ever safety and technology features.

2020 Sonata Has Abundant Features
The 2020 Hyundai Sonata is available in four trim levels. They are the SE, SEL, SEL Plus, and Limited. You'll find some variations in powertrain, safety equipment, and standard features among the trim levels. The SE has a bold look with LED lights, LED daytime running lights, and even LED tail lights, which is usually a feature you'd have to pay extra or upgrade for. The SE comes with cloth seats and a standard eight-inch infotainment center. It comes standard with air conditioning and power-locking doors, as well.
The SEL builds on that list with more standard safety technology and available leather seats. A second-row air vent and heated seats add to its appeal for passengers. Heated side mirrors are a nice touch in colder weather, and HD radio gives the sound system a boost. The Plus upgrades to a 12.3-inch infotainment display, also extending USB charging capability to the second row, which gets its own set of USB charging ports. The driver's seat is eight-way adjustable, while the passenger's seat moves in four ways. Dual-zone climate control is standard. The Limited gets more luxury with all-leather seats. Heated and ventilated seats and a Bose sound system are additional highlights of this trim.
2020 Hyundai Sonata Performance
The 2020 Sonata is offered with two engines. The base engine is a 2.5L with four cylinders. It is more powerful than the base engine on previous model years. This year's base engine features a maximum power output of 180 HP and 195 LB-FT of torque. The second engine, standard on the higher trims, increases to 191 HP. This engine is turbocharged. It is matched to an automatic transmission and comes with paddle shifters. The base engine is also connected to an automatic transmission.
Sonata Safety In the Forefront
Safety is a highlight in all Sonata trims. Lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams are included on all trims. Driver attention warning is a notable advanced feature. Dual-stage airbags are also included across the cabin.
