The annual event, which pays tribute to the railroad and its role in putting Carrollton on the map, was a huge success, garnering thousands of people, including families, from throughout the area.

Santa’s Downtown Dash is coming to the city of Carrollton on Saturday, December 3, 2016. The holiday-themed 5K and Fun Run provide locals with the perfect excuse to tap into the holiday spirit a bit early this year and get in a bit of exercise while doing it. Bring the family to downtown Carrollton on Saturday, October 22, 2016, for a one-of-a-kind outdoor presentation of the 1984 classic film “Ghostbusters.” Held in partnership with Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, this free special event is a great way to tap into the Halloween spirit!

On Saturday, July 23, 2016, from 6 to 8pm, the event will take over the city’s newly renovated Downtown Carrollton Square.

On July 4, the City of Carrollton will put on a fabulous fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. at Josey Ranch Lake. The 15-minute show will feature a variety of fireworks of all shapes, sizes and colors. It is not an onsite event, which means you won't have to worry about fighting through the crowds this Fourth of July!

Chocolate lovers had the perfect excuse to indulge in their favorite treats on Friday, April 8, 2016, as they joined several hundred of their Texas neighbors and converged on the streets of downtown Carrollton for the 6th annual Chocolate Walk.
